IAR helps to protect British wildlife
International Animal Rescue is doing its bit to protect British wildlife by giving support to Folly Wildlife Rescue Centre in Eridge Green in Kent.
IAR has pledged £500 towards its new wildlife and education centre project, which will enable Folly to expand to cope with the increasing numbers of birds and animals that they take in every year. The building of an education facility will also enable them to educate local groups and schools about our native wildlife and the role the public can play in protecting it. During a visit to the UK in May, Max Farrugia from IAR Malta visited the Folly Wildlife Centre and exchanged ideas with Dave and Annette Risley on the rescue and rehabilitation of wild animals and birds. The centre also works with Trevor Weeks who runs the East Sussex Wildlife Rescue Ambulance Service, and takes many sick and injured birds and animals to them for expert care and rehabilitation.
