Dog killing, Kerala style
We arrived back from Kerala having seen the worst thing in 30 years in animal welfare! We saw first-hand dog killing Kerala style, where the animals are caught on a dog catcher made of just bare wire and then are dragged to their deaths.
I managed to rescue one following a fight with 5 dog catchers but it was in such a bad state that I had to put the poor animal to sleep. We then found another one that had been left on the side of the road to die, which we also had to put out of its misery. Although I wanted to return immediately to Kerala with the video camera to get evidence of this, Jo was convinced that I would get killed myself. I have therefore arranged for a professional cameraman to go and film these atrocities. If this does not work out I will go back.
