India: Goa : Resident Dogs : Nicky

Name: Nicky
Gender: Male
Colour: Black with tan markings
Age: Unknown

Funny characteristic: Nicky's favourite pastimes are chasing cattle and sleeping in the staff toilet.

NickyNicky rarely enters the buildings at the centre - except for the staff toilet. He likes hanging out in the peace and quiet of the fields around the centre. No matter how hot it gets one still finds him lying in the baking sun lapping up the rays. When he wants to cool down the tiled floor of the staff toilet provides him with some indoor comfort but he can be a challenge to chase out when it needs to be vacated! Nicky loves chasing cattle and he causes great disruption in the cattle pen when the vets occasionally don't notice that he has sneaked in there with them. When not amusing himself there he gets his thrills chasing cows and buffaloes in the fields. We aren't entirely convinced that he is aware that it is a six against one game and that the six are each considerably bigger and stronger than him! When new centre dogs are introduced to the pack Nicky is one of the first dogs to befriend them. As long as the new arrival respects the boundaries Nicky is cool.
