International Animal Rescue
Dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of suffering animals

The aim of International Animal Rescue is to come to the aid of wild and domestic animals with hands-on rescue and rehabilitation.

At International Animal Rescue we do exactly what our name says. We save animals from suffering around the world by:

When we can, we release rescued animals back into the wild. And when that’s not possible, we care for them in our sanctuaries.

With your help, we can save many more animals like these.

Free the dancing bears of India

With your help, 2009 will be one of the most important dates in the history of animal welfare. This year we can rescue the very last dancing bears in India.

So far, with our Indian partners Wildlife SOS, we have rescued more than 500 bears. But there are still 105 bears desperately in need of our help. 2009 is our Year of the Bear in which, with your support, we aim to rescue all the remaining bears and end the cruel practice of dancing bears in India forever. » Poster

Now I’m a real VIP - a Very Important Pooch. Life is great, and thanks to International Animal Rescue and its supporters I’m here to tell the tale! » Read my blog

NO TO CIRCUS ANIMALS!

Elephants forced to perform at the Great British Circus

Shockingly, it is still legal for circuses in the UK to use wild animals in their acts.

The ‘Great British Circus’ uses tigers, camels – and shockingly three elderly female elephants too. Animals in circuses suffer from confinement, brutal training, transportation and demeaning tricks. We took part in a peaceful protest in Tonbridge, Kent on 3 June.
